New for 2023, service 206 provides an alternative route from Nottingham to Long Eaton, with buses every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday. Running more directly between Long Eaton and Beeston than the 204, it also provides direct bus links to Beeston and Nottingham stations on its way into the city, by going via Thane Road and Meadows Way.

Operations on the 206 are a 66/33% split between Robertson Buses and Smith's of Nottingham, with tickets from both companies accepted on all 206s. The route can be served by a mix of single and double decker buses.
