The 203 is a short route that runs hourly, Monday to Saturday, on an indirect route between Beeston and Bramcote. On the way it passes through Attenborough and Chilwell, providing a useful link from the houses to Beeston town centre and Attenborough railway station. It also serves the three secondary schools and has journeys timed to take students to and from school.
Route 203 is closely associated with the 204, having been introduced at the same time, extended to Beeston at the same time and sharing the section of route through Beeston and Attenborough. Outside of school peak times, the 203 is a relatively quiet route, and between 2017 and 2021 it used a specially bought and converted minibus. Buses are now shared between the 203 and 204, so regular small single deckers are most common.
